PRIMPS was established in November 2004 as Prominence Aviation College.
The institution has been approved by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to provide
tertiary education to students who want to pursue professional programmes.
Initially specializing in aviation and maritime programmes, the institution has witnessed
significant growth in population and programmes offered. In 2012, the board of directors
met and deliberated on the need to have a change in name. The institution officially changed
its name from PROMINENCE AVIATION COLLEGE to PROMINENCE INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT & PROFESSIONAL
STUDIES (PRIMPS) on September 20, 2012.
The college has trained over 2000 students over the past fifteen years since its establishment in 2004. Over sixty percent of this number is employed in various organizations in the West African sub-region and elsewhere in the world. The reality is that PRIMPS graduates do well on the job market.
PRIMPS seeks to contribute to national development by providing all-round education and training.
PRIMPS has a vision to be internationally recognized centre of excellence for the teaching of professional programmes for national development.
